Taj Lee is in his second year at The University of Texas, pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He developed a keen interest in space from his work in the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, where he builds composite structures as an Airframe Engineer. Taj is also an avid fan of aviation, having earned a private pilot’s license shortly after high school; he has future plans to pursue instrument and aerobatic ratings.
As he explores how engineering impacts our world, Taj hopes to not only be a part of meaningful projects, but to use engineering to help uplift his community. Aside from contributing to the advancement of the aerospace industry, Taj wants to dive into entrepreneurship and start a company that will build a safe environment for humanity to thrive in space and beyond.

When he’s not tinkering with model rockets and airplanes, Taj enjoys mountain biking and running!
