OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that inherent aerospace interest and inherent aerospace talent are not unique to any one demographic.
We believe that while the concept of race itself may have little or even no scientific validity, discrimination against individuals and groups based on race is undeniable.
We believe that systemic discrimination in recruiting, selection, training, promotion, and recognition is still prevalent in aerospace.
We believe abundant talent pools have gone untapped by the aerospace community.
We believe that many students who have all the attributes necessary for successful careers in aerospace choose to pursue careers in other industries because the aerospace has not sufficiently addressed its pattern of discrimination.
We believe that many of those students depart the industry early in their college experience due to the lack of role models, the lack access to professional mentors, and the lack of near-term job or internship opportunities.
We believe that by addressing those lacking elements, we can simultaneously improve the career prospects of those individuals and enrich the entire industry by helping a new cohort of future aerospace leaders join the industry, rather than depart it before truly beginning their careers.
