Muyiwa Arowolo is a first year engineering student at Purdue University looking forward to a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Muyiwa has spent his time at Purdue being involved with the Minority Engineering Program (MEP) and the National Society of Black Engineers. Through these programs, he has become increasingly familiar with fellow engineers, students, faculty, and experts in the field. These programs have provided a place to call home at the university. He hopes to give back as much as possible as time goes on through mentorship, leadership, and eventually, donations. He is also a member of the Purdue Space Program SATS team, where he has joined the avionics sub team. He hopes that he will be able to help the team to a successful launch of a CubeSat by the time he graduates. Additionally, Muyiwa has worked with the MEP Go-Kart team since his Fall semester began. He has been delighted that he has been able to find so much to enjoy working on Go Karts, something he never anticipated doing before Purdue. As someone who has been curious from a young age, Muyiwa hopes to use his Engineering Degree to develop and contribute to innovative projects in the field of aerospace that will contribute to society in new and advanced ways. As a freshman, Muyiwa is looking to get a wide variety of experience in the field of aerospace as quickly as possible. As part of that, he hopes to get his hands on as many interesting opportunities as possible. Finally, Muyiwa is thankful to all of the community members from Purdue, at home, and beyond who have helped him get to where he is today. He is excited for what the future will bring, and he promises that he will make you proud.

Fun Fact: Muyiwa has been learning to produce music in his free time.
