Having a passion for legal aspects, Kay Perkins is a second year student at Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and History, Technology, and Society, minoring in Law, Science, and Technology with a Spanish certification. She is an active member of the African American Student Union and serves as Social Chair. Kay is a Women of Color Ambassador and a Women's Basketball Student Manager at GT! She uses her skills being a resource and connecting students with multiple opportunities through campus. She also helps mentor underclassmen and assist with their extracurricular success at Georgia Tech. Kay is also an active member in GTSBE, SGA, and iGniTe Spark Mentor Program. Kay aspires to give back to the community, focusing on her legal profession while doing pro-bono work in local neighborhoods. She aspires to create a mentoring program for minority first generation students who can explore professions and guidance on the steps to reach success. Along with program, it will connect through high schools and allow students free guidance on the college application process. Kay plans to pursue a Juris Doctorate/Master in Business upon graduating Georgia Institute of Technology.
