Jarrett Davis is a member of the class of 2025 at Alabama A&M University. He is a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at Alabama A&M and is a member of the AAMU Honors Program. He is a mechanical engineering major with a 4.0 GPA and plans to pursue a career in the airline industry. Currently, Jarrett is the Public Relations Manager of VEX Robotics at Alabama A&M. He is also a member of many other organizations on campus: National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Math Club, and the Student Engagement Committee. Jarrett will be interning with ABL Space Systems this summer. Jarrett is originally from Mobile, Alabama. He has always had an engineer’s mindset, starting with puzzles at a very early age. As he grew and zoomed through more advanced engineering kits, he began to build model, remote-controlled (RC) airplanes. He also took part in various Jubilee BEST Robotics competitions at his high school, W.P. Davidson High School. Jarrett feels that his journey through school and outside organizations has guided him towards his interest in the airline industry. In his spare time, Jarrett loves to play basketball, listen to poetry, and do escape rooms. Jarrett also enjoys having deep, thought-provoking conversations with friends. He lives by the phrase “aspire to inspire” because it is short and simple, but living by this phrase enables him to inspire those around him and change the world in his own way. One way he hopes to make his impact is by inspiring the African American students behind him to explore their options in the aerospace industry.

Fun Fact: Jarrett built his first model, RC airplane in the 7th grade!
